GCS and our partners have been on the ground in Ukraine from the start of the war.
Our teams have been serving in Ukraine war zones and borders with Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, and Moldova.
Over the last 9 months our appeal has been able to accomplish the following:
Supplied over 3,270 tonnes of humanitarian supplies to vulnerable communities with a fleet of 161 x 20 tonne trucks covering 386,400 km
Supplies have included the following resources:
Nutritional Food / Bottled Water / Hygiene Supplies / Water Tanks and Filtration Solutions / Portable Generators /
Medicine and Medical Equipment / Thermal Clothing and Blankets / Tactical First Aid Kits and Tourniquets / Tactical Vests.
In the first few months of the invasion GCS helped evacuate over 57,644 people, of which 37% were children.22% evacuated to west Ukraine, and 78% evacuated abroad.
GCS have shared the Gospel with over 850,000 people, and distributed 145,000 Bibles and 950,000 Gospel tracts.
Last week one of our team vehicles was involved in a nasty accident, where the driver lost control of the vehicle and skidded on an icy road and struck a post. Fortunately no one was seriously injured, however the vehicle has been written off.
Since the beginning of the war this vehicle has supported civilians trapped in war-zones in east and south Ukraine. Thousands of food packages, medicine, Bibles, clothing, and other essential items have been delivered with this vehicle.
In order to keep up with the growing demand we urgently need a van! We are looking for a sponsor to provide a van (approximate cost $13-16k). We would love to put your company / ministry name under our charity logo on a van we can drive all over Ukraine delivering support to those in need.
