To celebrate, Germ’s Journey is inviting schools around the world to join together to learn all about hand hygiene, and why it’s so important to keep us healthy.
Germ’s Journey is a charity that aims to tackle infection by educating children on one of the simplest and most effective infection prevention measures: effective handwashing.
Almost 5 million children under 5 years old die each year, that’s 13,400 children dying every day, due predominately to infectious diseases that are preventable by washing hands.
On 15th October, we are inviting schools to join in with fun activities and collect donations of £1 per child, to help Germ’s Journey educate children around the world about hand-hygiene and infection prevention.
This donation will help Germ’s Journey create hand-hygiene packs, books, posters, videos and deliver life-saving education to children in India, Kenya and Pakistan.
Children deserve to know how to protect themselves, and their loved ones, from infection. Germ’s Journey co-create educational resources and training that recognise varying needs across different age groups and cultures to enable learning for all.
Without donations, Germ’s Journey is not able to continue this vital education.
We need your help to give more children the health foundation of infection prevention education. Join us and teach them how to protect themselves, and those they love, for life.
Thank you.
