Dougie is the kindest, gentlest, most sweet-natured RDA pony you could ever wish to meet. He always tries his best and is eager to please. He is a superstar who instinctively knows who is riding him and responds accordingly - whether it's a severely disabled child having a therapeutic hippotherapy session or an experienced Pony Club rider racing at Royal Ascot! He is more than worth his weight in gold and if we could clone him we would.

Dougie has never been sick, until now. Unfortunately, he has badly injured his tendon sheath in his leg and needs to go to hospital for an operation. This is devastating news for Park Lane Stables, particularly for our RDA and hippotherapy participants - we don't know what we would do without Dougie.

Our wonderful supporters have been amazing during the COVID closure period when we have had no income from riders and participants. Your donations and kind words have helped us to survive the crisis allowing us to feed and look after our ponies during the lockdown. However, we did not anticipate having to pay the unexpected vet bills for Dougie and this has knocked us for six.

Dougie has given so much to so many people all his life. Now it's time for us to repay him and give him the love and support he needs to get well again as soon as possible.
