Pat was kind, endlessly supportive, and always so proud of everything we achieved. She played such a big part in all our lives and is deeply missed every day.

Her final hours were spent at St Bede’s palliative care unit, Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead, where the staff showed incredible care, compassion, and dignity.

To say thank you and to support the amazing work they do, me and my son in law, Joe will be running the Great North Run 2026 to raise funds for St Bede’s palliative care unit.
