As anyone who knew Gina will know, she was passionate about helping animals and most especially overseas rescue dogs in the most desperate need.

Gina supported many overseas rescuers and their animals and regularly spent many many hours of her time baking her incredibly popular and delicious chocolates and other goodies to help the dogs, cats, horses, goats and a donkey supported by Romanian Woofers Need You. A regular weekly contributor to our Saturday night fundraisers, Gina (Debbie, as many of us knew her) was the wittiest 'Saturday nighter', always there to rib a fellow 'Woofer' and very often to offer her support to anyone needing a shoulder that week. She never missed an opportunity to give - whether to keep her regular monthly sponsor horse, Cluj, in hay; to help a dog or cat travel to a better life in the UK or simply to keep their bowls filled and their wounds treated in Romania. Gina wore her love and compassion for 'the Woofers' on her sleeve, always there, always pushing herself to make yet another box of biccies late into the night - because she cared and believed always in the power of doing what she could to make a difference and to ease the suffering of someone defenceless.

We'll miss Gina for a long time yet and we'll all be raising a glass to send her off with love and thanks for all she did for the animals in our care.
