Organised by Hogar De Ninas Madre AlbertinaOur Girls Home is in desperate need of a medical unit, and quiet study areas. There is a real need to keep single sick girls isolated from the group of 54. Essential for University students to study calmly and break the cycle of poverty by success.
As our Girls Home expanded from 24 to 54 girls ranging from 5 year olds to University students, we realised there was a real age gap and need to distinctive areas. The students are currently living in a food storage area and need proper rooms and study areas. Away from giggling young girls!
Medically at present if one girl gets ill, everyone gets sick. So to have a proper medical centre where the girls can be isolated and treated would be ideal.
The political situation in Nicaragua at the moment is not stable and the home needs to be a safe and secure refuge for the girls.
To give them a fighting chance in life.
