Give a Gift of Care 2025

We all love giving gifts at Christmas - but some gifts mean more than anything you can wrap. By giving a Gift of Care, you can help families make beautiful memories when time is short.

We provide high quality palliative and end of life care to people in their own homes and local communities across West Cumbria. We also offer emotional support, complementary therapies and specialist lymphoedema care. All our services are delivered free of charge to those who need them.

Story

Can you help patients and families this Christmas?

Christmas is about family, love, and being together. Your Gift of Care helps us to make that happen - bringing comfort to patients and support to families spending one last Christmas together. Please, give today, and help us to support people in the local community when they need it most.

Any amount you can gift will help us to support patients and their loved ones spending precious moments together this Christmas.

£20 could help fund one of our bereavement sessions for patients, carers and their families.

£25 could pay for an hour of overnight palliative nursing care so patients can sleep safely.

£50 could give an afternoon of respite care so carers can have a much-needed break.

£190 could pay for a whole night of compassionate one-to-one nursing care.

How to give your gift

Step 1: Click 'Give Now', log in to your JustGiving account, and choose the amount you'd like to donate.

Step 2: Enter your name, and then add the name of the person you'd like to receive your gift in the comments section. (If you would prefer for the name of the person receiving your gift not to be displayed on this page, please email us at info@hhwc.org.uk with the details of your order and the name of the recipient).

Step 3: Once we have received your kind gift, you will then receive a personalised certificate for you to forward to the recipient in time for Christmas Day.

Please note, the last date to make your gift for this to be received via post is the 17th December. For gifts made between 18th and 22nd December, the certificate will be available to collect from our Therapy and Information Centre in Workington (our opening times are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm). We apologise that any gifts received after 22nd December will not be processed until January.

Please also note, for us to be able to send you your certificate, you must select yes to receiving further contact from our charity. If you do not wish for us to keep in touch with you beyond this campaign, please email info@hhwc.org.uk with details of your order, so that we can get your certificate to you.
