Loma Linda University: Students for International Mission Service
Loma Linda University’s Students for International Mission Service program equips future healthcare professionals to serve with skill and compassion around the world. Each year, LLU students and volunteers travel to communities with limited access to care, offering medical support, health education, and hope. These experiences become a defining part of a student’s training, shaping their clinical abilities while deepening their commitment to global service. When you support SIMS on GivingTuesday, you open the door for more students to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact—both abroad and in their future careers.

From the Classroom to Global Service: SIMS Changes Lives
During her SIMS trip to Nepal, physical therapy student Hailey Chalfant witnessed firsthand how local therapists adapt with limited resources — even using dirt-filled plastic water bottles as therapy weights. Their creativity and dedication left a lasting impression.
Hailey said the physical therapist she worked alongside became both a mentor and an inspiration, modeling compassion, problem-solving, and a deep commitment to the community. Even early in her training, Hailey was grateful for the meaningful work she was able to do and the skills she brought home.
When you give to SIMS on GivingTuesday, you open the door for students like Hailey to serve globally and grow personally and professionally — while making a real impact for the people they meet.
