Water is life!
In the villages we serve, mothers and children often embark on exhausting 7-8 km journeys just to collect water for their families. Shockingly, one-third of Guineans drink unsafe water, with rural communities suffering the most.
Education:
A safe water source near schools dramatically improves children's attendance rates. For girls, it means they no longer need to stay home during their menstrual cycles. Access to toilets ensures they can stay at school all day, while handwashing facilities reduce disease spread, leading to fewer absences.
Health:
Access to safe water and sanitation is key to preventing the spread of disease. Providing a clean water facility enhances the overall health of a community, benefiting generations to come.
Women & Girls:
Fetching water often falls on women and young girls, forcing them to travel long distances and face the risk of violence and abduction. A nearby water facility would bring safety, freeing them from this burden.
Water is the most fundamental human need, yet millions still live without it. With your support, we can bring clean, safe water to those who need it most.
