Corporate Glitter Ball Supports Children's Appeal

The 2026 Corporate Glitter Ball is supporting the Children's Appeal to make it better for our younger patients. Hospitals can be a scary place, especially for children. Our charity wants to enhance the experience for them and their families.

The Dudley Group NHS Charity makes a real difference to those being treated in our hospitals or in their own homes. We are not about providing healthcare; charitable donations enable us to give extra comfort, equipment and facilities above and beyond those which are supplied by the NHS.

Story

🌟The 2026 Glitter Ball 🌟

SUPPORTING OUR YOUNG PATIENTS

The Dudley Group NHS Charity’s annual Corporate Glitter Ball is back for its sixth sparkling year — and this year, every penny of profit will go towards supporting young patients across the Trust.

Your generosity will help patients in:

- C2 Children's ward

- Paediatric Emergency Department

- Children's Outpatients Department

- Neonatal

💜 Why we are raising funds

The children’s services across Russells Hall Hospital, outpatient and community centres treat over 23,000 children each year from birth to 16 years old.

The children’s appeal was created to help support our young patients with a range of conditions and illnesses, during their treatment. It can be a daunting and scary time for our young patients whether they’re attending an appointment, staying for a prolonged period on our wards or undergoing surgery, and we want their time within our services to be as comfortable and engaging as possible.

Our charity endeavours to do this by supporting projects that can make a real difference to children and young people in hospital.

💡 What your donation can fund:

This year, the Glitter Ball is raising funds for an MRI Interactive Rocket Scanner – a pioneering piece of equipment that will be the first of its kind in the West Midlands.

MRI scans can be an intimidating and anxiety-provoking experience for children aged 3 to 10. Designed as a fun, rocket-shaped simulator, the MRI Interactive Rocket Scanner helps young patients become familiar with the scanning process before their actual examination. By reducing fear and anxiety, it can help children complete their MRI without the need for anaesthesia or sedation, while also enabling clinicians to obtain high-quality images for an accurate diagnosis. 🚀💜

🚀 Help us transform MRI scans into exciting adventures for children. Donate today and make a difference. 🚀
