With global blood shortages, and the increasing need for blood in the post-Covid era, where postponed treatments and surgeries have resumed, Who is Hussain endeavour to contribute to global blood supplies.
That's why we've launched the Global Blood Heroes campaign, a record-breaking event aiming to collect 50,000 blood donations in one calendar day - Saturday 27th August. For each blood donor, 3 adult lives can be saved, making this an extraordinary event that could save 150,000 lives. Taking place in over 50 cities globally, over 600 volunteers on the ground are working tirelessly preparing for this day, already securing more than 245 blood donation locations.
The world record will be authenticated by Official World Record, an NGO dedicated to promoting social and charitable causes amongst non-profit organisations.
We are fundraising to contribute to the significant costs associated with this momentous event. Funds raised will go towards services such as PR, marketing, administration and blood donor acquisition. Your generosity will ensure that blood donations can happen, and countless lives can be saved.
