Story

We need your help to increase access to high quality music education in South-East London.

We will use your donation to make improvements to our Stables teaching centre, including fully accessible toilet facilities and baby changing, acoustic treatment, extra teaching space, storage and lighting.

The Stables is a Grade 1 Listed Building so it's taken some time to get all the permissions in place - but now everything's ready to go and we just need to raise the funds to make the improvements.

These changes will make our centre more accessible to those with a mobility impairment, and to those with special educational needs. It'll make it more manageable for those with young children. The extra teaching space will help us use the space more efficiently and reach more students.

“Mia has been offered a gifted and talented place in her secondary school. Thank you for your support and for the excellent teaching.” - parent

Your donation will also be used for our Bursary Fund, which provides means-tested support for families - for lesson fees, concerts, and hire fees for some instruments. Currently over 65 families are supported by the Bursary Fund, with students from 6 months to 19 years.

We know that learning music can be transformational for a young person - your support helps us make that happen.

It's amazing learning music with GMS - the teachers explain every note. it feels kind of good to be the first one in my family to learn a musical instrument. - Laksh, 10
