The Go Yellow 5K Walk, helps educate children on the crucial work of the hospice, while providing a challenge for them to raise funds for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
Pupils will participate in a 5K walk around Bellahouston Park and then enter the event area where there will be sports, games and inflatables for an afternoon of enjoyment and fun.
May is national Go Yellow month for the hospice movement. We try to raise awareness and promote the vital role of Glasgow's Hospice within the community and the wide range of services we provide.
The Go Yellow event helps educate children on the crucial work of hospices, while providing a challenge for them to raise funds for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
This year we are encouraging pupils of all ages to get involved. Schools can be creative in how pupils support the Go Yellow event, with ideas such as pupils wearing yellow for a day, walking a 5K around the school grounds, merge Go Yellow and your sports day, encourage pupils to take part at home, the opportunities are endless. We want to put the fun in fundraising with our Go Yellow event.
The Go Yellow event has successfully been educating pupils in hospice care for many years and this year will be no different, whether we visit your school to talk to your pupils about hospice care or have a virtual video chat, we would like pupils to know what they are fundraising for. Go Yellow is an excellent end-of-term opportunity for schools across Glasgow and the surrounding areas to get involved in.
