Story

The Golf Trust (Registered Charity No. 1172134) are excited to be teeing off on our next fundraising project, Going the Extra Mile.

This year, a team of 6 will be playing 18 rounds of golf in 5 countries over 6 days in June 2025.

The team will set off from the home of The Golf Trust, The Shire London on Monday 16th June and finish their journey at the home of Golf, St Andrews on the longest day of the year.

As we have created more opportunities and raised awareness from Project 24 last year, it has created more demand. At The Golf Trust, our mission is to empower independence through golf, fostering inclusivity and opportunities for everyone to experience the game.

This year, we’ve set an ambitious target to raise £80,000 to purchase three Paragolfers for use across the UK to bring the life changing benefits of golf to people with disabilities and trying to meet this ever-growing demand.

We are going the extra mile by making these vehicles publicly available and free to use. 6 years ago, there were no vehicles publicly available. By the end of 2025, we hope to have 13 vehicles in operation. We would love your help to reach that goal.

We have set ourselves an ambitious target of providing recreational opportunities for 50,000 more disabled people by 2028. By making more machines available, it will allow us to reach our target!

Along the way, the team will be playing with people from the local communities who will be sharing how golf has impacted them.
