Story
"I was feeling happy walking around. I felt free and I felt like I could fly. This is the first time that I have felt free because I am not scared from anyone in front or behind me." Zara
Every day, women like Zara are forced to live in fear because of an abusive partner, boyfriend or husband. Our vital services offer emotional support and advice, alongside practical help with a range of issues, from finding housing or access to grants, to guidance on legal matters.
We have never been busier, as the rates of women experiencing abuse continues to go up, but we stand resolute: we will continue to offer life-changing services for women and children who need us in Birmingham and Solihull.
"I didnt realise how much I didnt know. I was afraid that my child would be taken from me, that I wont get any form of justice but I did get non-molestation order based on the information I received on how I could seek that from myself. Forever grateful that a service like this exists to those vulnerable like myself." Aria
With your help, alongside funding our quality services that support women like Aria, we can add the little extras that mean so much - whether that's emergency food, craft activities for children who are missing their toys whilst in temporary accommodation, or a pamper kit for a woman who has been experienced financial abuse and hasn't been allowed to purchase hand cream or makeup for herself.
"Thank you so much. You really are a great person. You really have made mine and my children's Christmas."
