Our initial target is to transport and distribute fifty manual wheelchair to those who most need them within rural communities in Casamance, the south of Senegal. Our goal is to enable wheelchair users to have a more active role in their community through provision of wheelchairs that are appropriate for the user and terrain.

We will also be running a three day camp in Casamance for all of our recipients and other members of the local disability community. Some of the activities that take place will include physical activities (such as surfing, kayaking, yoga), wheelchair skills, wheelchair maintenance and mindfulness. The idea behind this is to promote the opportunity for growth and resilience and to develop personal goals by working outside of individuals comfort zones.

One wheelchair costs £300 so even the smallest donations make a real difference!
