Go Purple - for St Mary's

Campaign by St Mary's Hospice

Go Purple this March for St Mary's Hospice, 8 out of 10 patients are cared for thanks to community donations. Wear it, share it, donate and help fund vital hospice care. Every purple post and pound makes a real difference.

St Mary’s Hospice provides specialised supportive and palliative care for people with life-shortening conditions throughout South Cumbria. Less than 20% of our funding comes from the NHS, the rest comes from our supporters. All our services are provided free to patients and their families.

Story

This March, we’re asking our community to Go Purple and help raise vital funds for St Mary's Hospice.

Taking part is simple- wear purple, bake purple, decorate your workspace, host a mini challenge, share it online and donate what you can. Whether you’re a school, business, community group or just taking part with friends, every purple effort helps make a difference.

As an independent hospice, we rely heavily on fundraising and voluntary donations to continue providing our care. If we relied only on NHS funding, we would have to close our doors by March each year.

Every donation made through this page will go directly towards supporting patient care and ensuring families receive the support they need, when they need it most.

By going purple this March, you’re not just wearing a colour — you’re standing alongside local families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
