Story

Go Wild in the Kitchen is the brainchild of Bobby Power, creator of Go Wild Magazines, who has brought together a collection of delicious recipes from some of Irelands top chefs.

Featuring over 30 recipes and stunning photography from three distinct areas along the Wild Atlantic Way; the North Coast, Mid-West and Southern region. Go Wild in the Kitchen will have you serving up mouth-watering creations from top chefs in Ashford Castle, Parknasilla Resort and Dromoland Castle to name just a few. Dishes on the menu include glazed Bourbon steak, hot smoked salmon and crusted pork loin. All sure to wow at dinnertime.

Proceeds from the downloadable cookbook will support The Irish Cancer Society in their ongoing support of cancer patients and their families during this difficult time.

Community Fundraiser for the Midwest, Lorraine Toner stated.

These are very uncertain times for cancer patients and their families however thanks to the generosity shown by the Irish public, we are continuing to deliver services to ensure they do not have to face this alone.

The ongoing impact of coronavirus on hospitals has meant that more patients are being cared for in the community, putting an increased demand on the Societies Night Nurses who have provided over 1,000 nights of care to help people spend their precious final days in the comfort of their home.

Following the cancellation of our Daffodil Day street sales and our large events, support from the public on fundraisers such as this is needed now more than ever, to ensure we can continue to support cancer patients and their families through this uncertain time.

Staying at home has been tough for cocooning breast cancer survivor, Carmel Murphy and her family however, the cookbook has proved a nice escape.

The cookbook is absolutely stunning and the recipes delicious. Coronavirus and social distancing has not been easy for any of us but I decided from the start I would try new challenges. I love trying new recipes but this book brought it to a completely new level. I started easy with the Real arabbiata pasta, which went down a real treat with all the family. As a huge fan of goats cheese & beetroot, I tried the croquettes. A great starter for when we can have friends over again, Murphy stated. The fact that the money raised through the books sale will help to support those facing a cancer diagnosis during this difficult time just makes the meals taste that extra bit sweeter.

We are asking for a minimum of 5 euro and then you will receive a link to download your copy of the cookbook in your confirmation email. For further info or queries, contact Lorraine Toner on ltoner@irishcancer.ie or 0877936499.
