Help us turn "Lack of Resources" into "Life Chances".

The Gurkha Peace Foundation has helped 25 schools in Nepal, but urgent needs remain. Help us provide computers, uniforms, and books to remote students. Your donation turns a lack of resources into life chances.

Founded in 2011, the Gurkha Peace Foundation supports Gurkha communities in Kent and Nepal. They aid veterans and families, fund educational projects in remote villages, and promote cultural exchange and community cohesion.

Story

In the remote hills of Nepal, the morning bell doesn't just signal the start of a school day, it signals a victory of determination over difficulty.

Imagine walking miles across rugged terrain, fueled by a genuine hunger to learn, only to arrive at a classroom that feels forgotten. You sit at a desk, but there are no books to open. You hear about the digital age transforming the world, but there is no computer to connect you to it. You shiver in the mountain air because you lack a proper uniform.

This is the heartbreaking reality for thousands of bright, ambitious students in Nepal.

At the Gurkha Peace Foundation, our inbox tells a story of urgent hope. We receive daily pleas from remote headmasters who have the students, the teachers, and the will, but simply lack the equipment and tools. They tell us of children who are being held back not by a lack of intelligence, but by a lack of resources.

But we know this story can have a different ending.

Thanks to supporters like you, we have managed to support and transform 25 schools from places of scarcity into places of hope and opportunity. We have seen the spark in a student’s eye when learn to type on the computer. We have seen the pride they take when they put on a new uniform.

Today, we are asking you to help because there are still schools waiting. There are still children staring into the emptiness of resources. A donation isn't just buying a book or stationery, but it’s unlocking a future, their confidence and imagination.

It isn't just buying a computer; it’s connecting a remote village to the global world to see and recognise the possibilities.

It isn't just buying a uniform; it’s restoring uniformity, dignity and pride.

Please, help us answer the call. Let’s ensure that geography and poverty do not dictate any child’s future.
