Three Peaks 24 Hour Challenge 2026

On Saturday 2nd May, we're taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge. Climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales… all within 24 hours.

Following the tragic death of Geoff Payne in 2022, those close to him decided to set up the GPF&F charity in his memory. The charity provides funding to support research into the causes, treatment and cure of Parkinson’s, and other charitable causes connected with ill-health & disabilities.

Story

UPDATE (05.05.26):

WE DID IT! 🎉🍾🥳

We’re very pleased (and slightly relieved!) to say that we’ve completed the National Three Peaks Challenge — summiting Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

It was every bit as tough as expected… long drives, pretty horrendous weather, very little sleep, and some seriously challenging climbs along the way - but the team got it done!

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us - we’ve raised an incredible amount for the charity, and we’re genuinely grateful for every donation, message and bit of encouragement (especially during the tougher moments!).

If you’d still like to support the challenge, the page is still live — every donation makes a huge difference!

The Challenge

On Saturday 2nd May, we're taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge - climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales… all within 24 hours.

That’s:

🏔️ Ben Nevis

🏔️ Scafell Pike

🏔️ Snowdon

All in one continuous push.

Who’s taking part?

A group of 10 family and friends coming together to take on something completely out of our comfort zones.

Some of us are regular walkers… most of us are not.

What makes this tough?

This isn’t just a hike — it’s a proper endurance challenge:

🚐 Hours of overnight driving between mountains

🌙 Climbing through the night with little to no sleep

🥾 Steep ascents, tired legs, and unpredictable weather

😵 Battling fatigue (and questionable decision-making!)

And to be honest… a serious lack of training for some of us.

We’ll be supported along the way by a highly professional volunteer team of drivers, caterers, motivators, therapists… and possibly a few therapy dogs 🐶 (or at least we’re hoping so).

The goal?

Complete all three peaks within 24 hours - and still be standing at the end of it!

How you can support us?

If you can, please donate and support the team taking on this challenge.

Each donation and every bit of encouragement will help get us up those mountains - especially at 3am when we’re questioning our life choices.

🚀 Follow the journey

We’ll be sharing updates, photos, and probably some very tired faces along the way.

Thank you for your support!
