Story
You may have seen the very distressing picture, well thirteen-and-a-half-year-old Gracie is the oldest dog rescued from the property in which some 250 dogs were being kept. The West Norfolk RSPCA we took 12 of those dogs, which took us to our maximum capacity!
Gracie was also one of the very last dogs to be rescued from the property and the image below shows her waiting so patiently in a bedroom, almost like she knew help was on it's way!
Gracie is now living her best life with an elderly couple and they say "she has transformed their lives and has added so much happiness to their home". Gracie even has her favourite toy - Monkey. She enjoys treats, pottering in the garden, and even watching Dad’s Army .
Given that Gracie is an older dog we felt it would be better to find her a foster home, generally it is more difficult to find homes for older dogs. That means we will cover the cost of any ongoing care that Gracie needs.
Gracie has been spayed (to prevent pyometra), microchipped, vaccinated, flead and wormed. She's had a bit of an ear infection but other than that she is doing very well. We have spent approx £900 on her care so far. We've set up this page to cover her ongoing and future care.
