Story

In 2019, the Derby NCS Team will be taking 20 Grad Volunteers to Jubilee Academy, Nakuru in Kenya. Derby County Community Trust has been taking part in the Rams in Kenya trip for the past 6 years. Since its first trip in 2012, the initiative has grown from 13 volunteers on the first visit to 74 on the latest. 164 volunteers have now taken part across 5 trips. The scheme now works with 3 partner projects, Jubilee Academy, along with the Cherish, Ungana and Mama Carey schools, where work has continued from previous visits. On the NCS graduate trip the graduates will have the opportunity to help build classrooms and run activities with the children in the school.
