The COVID-19 pandemic continues to upend all aspects of our lives from the ways we work and learn, to the ways we gather with friends and family. Everyone has been affected, including the Medic One Foundation and our ability to raise funds for the Medic One Paramedic Training Program.

Our annual Lifesavers Gala is being re-imagined this year as an online fundraiser. While many of us can isolate and hunker down, our first responders are still on the front lines every day saving lives. And now, more than ever, they need our support. The current class of paramedic students is at maximum capacity with 24 students; 11 more students than last year! EMS agencies around our region are facing a current and future staffing shortage of paramedics. With more paramedics retiring, there is an overwhelming need to have more new paramedics to respond to the ongoing COVID-19 crises, in addition to other medical emergencies that threaten the lives of thousands each year. The Medic One Foundation is the sole source of funding for the Paramedic Training Program. We receive no government dollars and rely on the generosity of friends like you to accomplish our life-saving mission.
