Grant's Story

Our client Grant is a regular at our social groups and always brings a few dad jokes and lots of laughter with him. We really appreciate Grant taking on this challenge to raise funds for us to help support local people with sight loss and visual impairments.

Grant had trouble feeling isolated while living in his flat, but thanks to our day trips and social groups he was able to feel less isolated. Grant has joined us in York, gone on day trips to Kepplewray, and is a regular at our Men's Group and Grange Group. We have also assisted Grant with benefit claim forms and in tidying up his patio area allowing his grandkids to play outside while visiting.

The Fundraiser

Our client, Grant Davidson will be swimming 1 mile in on Thursday 25th May to raise funds to help us support local people with sight loss and visual impairments at our Vision Support Centre and Ostley House.

Grant regularly attends the disabled swimming sessions at Kendal Leisure Centre and also took on a similar swimming fundraiser in 2022 to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
