World Vision believes that by working together with children, their communities, and our supporters and partners, the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children can be transformed. As a Christian organisation, we aspire to reflect God’s unconditional love in all we do.

Story

On 20th June, the Sanctuary Foundation held their very first Great Big Live Assembly. This is a special UK national assembly for World Refugee Day with a live broadcast from Azraq camp in Jordan, where we heard from Seedra (14) and Mohammed (17) live from the World Vision Peace Centre.

Your school can be a part of supporting this amazing centre- a safe haven for children and teenagers to learn, have healthy social interactions and receive psychological support. These centres are working to heal the emotional wounds of a generation and helping them recover from the trauma of war, giving them bright hope for the future. Every day 250 children and young people use the centre, and with your help we can continue to provide this essential service.

How your fundraising helps:

£5 could enable one child to access the safe space

£20 could enable 4 young people to attend an adolescent friendly space once a week.

£100 could enable twenty children to access the safe space

Alternatively donations may be used towards the provision of sports and games equipment for the children to use, or towards providing professional trauma support to a child who needs it.
