The Great Start in Life Foundation is an arm of Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC), the registered charity for Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT). HDFT provide Health Visitor and School Nurse Public Health Services for children, young people and their families across North Yorkshire, as well as in County Durham, Cumberland, Darlington, Gateshead, Middlesbrough, Northumberland, Stockton-on-Tees, Sunderland, Wakefield and Westmorland-in-Furness. We are proud to be recognised as the largest provider of 0-19(25) services in the UK, alongside our Safeguarding and Children in Care Services.

Our Great Start in Life Foundation will help children, young people and families throughout our vast footprint to enhance the Health Visitor and School Nursing services we provide, to ensure the children, young people and families who access these services have a Great Start in Life. We fund specialist equipment, training and services, going above and beyond the provision of the Health Visitor and School Nurse Public Health Service for Children, Young People and their families to help enhance treatment and facilities for all across our footprint.
