About YMCA Essex

YMCA Essex is an inclusive charity working to build the lives, hopes and futures of disadvantaged children and young people. We influence the lives of thousands of young people every year through a diverse range of programmes and services including community youth groups; family support/schools/education welfare work; and – in Colchester only currently – housing work, where we have supported accommodation for 44 homeless young people aged 16-25. Funds raised through the Great Moustache Run will enable us to continue our valuable work supporting vulnerable young people.

About the Great Moustache Run

Join us as part of Chelmsford parkrun for the Great Moustache Run in association with the Mayor of Chelmsford - moustaches obligatory! and finish the 5k course. Join hundreds of people and fundraise for YMCA Essex whilst registering for parkrun and getting your result certified!

When and where? Saturday 27 April at 9am, Central Park, Chelmsford

The day is suitable for everyone over the age of 16, with no time limit. So feel free to hop, skip, jump, walk or even dance your way around the course before collecting your medal from YMCA Essex at the finish line to the tune of the legendary song!

All proceeds will support our work at YMCA Essex with some of the area's most vulnerable young people, helping them to realise their potential and supporting them on their journey from homelessness to independence.

There is no minimum amount to raise, but every pound can help young people in crisis to thrive.
