Exeter CITY Community Trust is Exeter's leading health and wellbeing charity. Our health, education, wellbeing and physical activity programme reach over 45,000 members of our community each year.

Story

Exeter City Community Trust deliver 50 programmes to over 45,000 participants each year. We provide opportunity to all members of our community regardless of age, ethnicity, physical ability, background or economic status.

As the charitable arm of Exeter City Football Club, our football-based offerings are our 'beating heart'. We pride ourselves on ensuring that physical ability is never a barrier to the beautiful game.

But our mission has grown to extend far beyond the pitch. We tackle the big issues facing society today, across programme areas of sport, support and education. This ensures that we can reach every corner of our community.

When I was younger I was a shy kid who didn't like to talk to people and now, through the years of meeting new people on the Premier League Kicks programme I have had the opportunity to talk to many people I would never have met.

Our Supported Housing Service provides a vital lifeline to the most vulnerable, ensuring those experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping can achieve a pathway to independence.

It has given me a chance to focus and rebuild myself after being street homeless.

From Key Stage 1 to Higher Education, we provide tailored support to local schools and services, as well as Degree-level mentorship.

When we refer a young person we know that they will receive a life- changing experience and leave the programme with the knowledge and confidence to make better life decisions, again benefitting not only themselves but the community as a whole.

This only begins to tell the story of the fantastic work our full-time, part-time, and voluntary staff undertake for the benefit of our community. Across health and wellbeing, community cohesion, physical activity and beyond our programmes aim to touch lives in ways that are often unseen but always felt.

None of it would be possible without the generosity and determination of those who champion our cause. To every runner, donor, and supporter- thank you. You are as much a part of this community as the people we serve.
