The difference Green Hub is making…

Green Hub is a local community charity based in Milford, Witley & Godalming supporting teens (10-18) in Waverley, Surrey and NE Hampshire, who are facing social, emotional & mental health challenges. Many are unable to attend school as a result.

What we do is called ‘social therapeutic horticulture’, and teens come along to our Green Teens programme for a couple of hours each week for 12 weeks, working in one of our local Green Hub teen gardens, whatever the weather.

Our volunteers provide a safe place where young people can benefit from the calm that nature provides. The aim is to teach them strategies that they can use for the rest of their lives, based on the ‘5 ways to wellbeing’.

It’s a really powerful approach and we are so proud of the stories we hear from teenagers and their parents...

Green Hub also supports parents of teens struggling with their mental health, via monthly Parent Hub and other supportive activities.
