Green Roots to Recovery – Farnham Road Hospital

Help transform outdoor spaces at Farnham Road Hospital into therapeutic gardens. This project provides a vital escape from clinical environments, helping patients reduce stress and rebuild confidence through gardening.

We provide health and social care services for people with mental illness, drug and alcohol problems and learning disabilities in Surrey and NE Hampshire. Your donations help us fund special projects, equipment, research and improve environments not funded by the NHS for people who use our services.

Story

We are raising funds to support Green Roots to Recovery, a therapeutic gardening project at Farnham Road Hospital designed to improve wellbeing and support recovery for the people we care for.

This project will transform several outdoor spaces into calm, welcoming environments where patients can take part in meaningful gardening activities - helping to reduce stress, build confidence and support mental health recovery.

Your support could help us:

- Develop and improve safe, accessible garden spaces

- Provide tools, plants and materials for therapeutic activities

- Create opportunities for people to reconnect with nature, routine and purpose

The project will benefit adults aged 18–65 and older adults, many of whom are experiencing significant mental health challenges. These spaces will offer a vital break from clinical environments, supporting both recovery and overall wellbeing.

Every donation will help create spaces where people can feel calmer, rebuild confidence and take positive steps forward.
