On the 26th of April, five members of the Gregory House team are trekking up Britain’s highest summit, Mount Snowdon, to raise valuable funds for the home’s residents’ amenities. The team of adventurous climbers, consist of the homes Senior Carer, Emilia Reilly, Carer, Szilvia Szucs, Administrator, Lisa Lawlor, Activities Coordinator, Ashleigh Pinder and Handy man, Andrew Smith. The group will set off early on the Friday morning to take on the 12km challenge, which will take approximately 6.5 hours. At 1,085m high, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) is the highest mountain in Wales, surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park. It is steeped in history and protected by rocky ridges making Snowdon a unique mountain, one of the few places on Earth where the Snowdon Lily (Lloydia Serotina) can be found.
