Story
Dear Friends
Growing2gether needs your help. A funding delay has pushed us to an urgent financial appeal, to prevent cuts to our programmes. Please help us raise £30,000 to support the work we do for children, young people, schools and communities.
Our innovative programmes are proven to build confidence and improve mental health, transforming the way young people see their future.
We are reaching out to our friends and communities, as young people struggling with their mental health and childhood trauma need us more than ever.
Everything about Growing2gether has completely built me up, in every single way.
Right now we’re facing difficult decisions.
With a £30,000 funding gap, we will be forced to cut the highly effective programmes that have already transformed the lives of 3,000 young people and children across Moray and Scotland.
Please take this opportunity to invest in a future where young people rise not because they are saved, but because they are trusted with the power to uplift others.
£50 could go towards materials for our mentoring programme
£100 could fund costs for the SCQF qualification they achieve
£1000 could support a teenager mentoring a nursery child
£10,000 could fund a Nursery Mentoring programme
Any amount will help, no matter how small, or whether it’s once-off or monthly.
While I wanted to give our people a voice, Growing2gether gave me a voice, which is amazing.
ABOUT GROWING2GETHER
What if the key to transforming vulnerable teenagers’ lives wasn’t just mentorship – but mentoring in reverse? Unlike traditional interventions that treat young people as recipients of help, we empower them as giver.
Growing2gether is the only charity in Scotland to pair young people as mentors to nursery children needing extra support, using positive psychology to build their mental health, confidence and life skills. It is unique because it benefits not only the young person but also the child. Mentoring another child also earns the young person an interpersonal skills qualification.
Our impact is clear: participants show significant reductions in anxiety and depression, increased self-belief, and stronger engagement in education.
90% of teens report increased confidence
100% achieve nationally recognised qualifications
93% would recommend the programme to others
That’s more than data. That’s transformation.
When a young person transforms, the ripple effect is unstoppable.
Growing2gether doesn’t just change the lives of teenagers – it reshapes entire families and communities. Parents who once saw their children struggle with self-doubt, disengagement, or mental health challenges now witness them stepping into leadership, taking responsibility, and building confidence. This shift radiates outward – when teens feel empowered, their families experience less stress, stronger communication, and newfound hope.
And the community? It thrives. Schools see re-engaged students, nurseries benefit from compassionate teen mentors, and local networks grow stronger as young people become contributors and community leaders, rather than crises to be solved.
Investing in Growing2gether means supporting a proven model that redefines youth support by empowering them as givers. Your support will help expand this transformative approach, reaching more young people and strengthening communities. Join us in rewriting the future for Scotland’s youth.
I think Growing2gether has given my kid something that is hers: knowledge of herself. It's also building her confidence and skills to navigate more social situations. - Parent
