Story
Hi everyone and thank you for visiting our Just Giving Page. I am proud to host the 10th anniversary of the Guild Wheel Walk as it means so much to our community. This year we will be supporting 9 organisations close to our hearts in many ways.
I started the Guild Wheel Walk in 2017 for our friend’s family who needed our support, the year after we went on to fundraise for all our local charities. This event keeps growing every year with our passionate community that are proud to have raised thousands throughout these years.
The Guild Wheel is a 21-mile walking and cycling route, encircling Preston and providing a link from the city to the countryside. The Guild Wheel is a great way to make the most of the many forms of landscapes that make this city what it is - by rambling the River Ribble and canal sides to ancient woodland, city centre parkland, historic docklands and attractive nature reserves.
This iconic route is a must for all walking enthusiasts. You can challenge yourself to the full route or join at one of the other points listed below. You will also find many places to stop off along the way.
We do this so you can meet new people, so you can challenge yourself, sometimes you need to focus on something to help you get out of the house, this supports our mental health by supporting others and by raising vital funds for our local charities. There will be refreshments and food cooked by the community for when you finish at Bar 51 with live singers on throughout the day.
For those that want to get involved here is a brief outline of the day:
