Goodwill Caravan is urgently seeking your support for the people of eastern Libya who are facing unprecedented devastation due to severe flooding.
The situation is dire, with over 5,200 lives lost and around 10,000 individuals still missing.
The death toll in the city could reach up to 20,000 people based on the number of districts destroyed by the flood. The mayor of Derna, Abdulmenam al-Ghaithi stated “we actually need teams specialised in recovering bodies.”
Families and children are enduring unimaginable suffering in the wake of this disaster. Entire neighbourhoods have been engulfed by the powerful floods. Some communities have become entirely isolated and inaccessible.
The people of Libya have endured immeasurable loss due to the war in Libya since 2011 which just accentuates their struggles.
Goodwill Caravan, in partnership with local organisations, is committed to delivering essential aid, including food packs, blankets, mattresses, and other life-saving assistance.

£40 can provide emergency family kits (blanket, 2 pillows, 1 large foam mattress)
£350 can provide a Kafan and generators for surviving families held up in higher ground schools so they have electricity to charge phones call for help, keep insulin in fridges, call and look for loves ones under rubble.
