Story
Haemophilia Scotland is a voice for the bleeding disorders community in Scotland.
Established in 2012, we recognised the need for a dedicated information, advocacy, and support organisation with a clear understanding of NHS Scotland services, the medical treatment of bleeding disorders, and the emotional impact of a diagnosis.
Our vision is for Scotland to be a place where people with haemophilia, von Willebrand’s, and other bleeding disorders—as well as their families and carers—are fully supported to live healthy, happy lives.
WHY WE WALK
This year, our Director, Alan Martin, is taking on the Mighty Stride at the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise awareness and vital funds for Scotland’s bleeding disorders community. Every step he takes helps shine a light on the challenges our community faces and brings us closer to a future where everyone affected can live full, healthy lives.
Haemophilia Scotland has been proudly represented at all four Kiltwalks in 2024—Glasgow in April, Aberdeen in June, Dundee in August, and now Edinburgh. We’re so grateful to everyone who has walked on behalf of our community across Scotland.
OUR GOAL
With your help, we can raise the vital funds needed to support the programmes and services that make a real difference to individuals and families across Scotland.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
