Hamelin Is Taking Part in The Billericay Fun Walk Again!

On 15th September, the Hamelin community - staff, the people we support, families and friends - will all be coming together to take laps around Lake Meadows Park to raise vital funds.

This is a chance for our community to unite, get active, and raise money to support autistic people and people with learning disabilities across Essex to live full, meaningful and connected lives.

Why we’re taking part:

Many of the people we support don’t receive social care funding, meaning they rely on Hamelin to access free or low-cost opportunities like employment support, life skills training and community inclusion.

We work hard to ensure our community services remain free, accessible and available to those who need them most - but this is only possible thanks to fundraising and donations.

The Fun Walk is a powerful example of community fundraising in action - bringing together local charities, businesses and supporters to create an impact far greater than any one organisation could achieve alone.

What makes it even more impactful is the 'bonus pot', created by local businesses, which is split between participating charities on a pro rata basis depending on, and in addition to, what we raise on the day. For every £100 raised from the Fun Walk, the bonus pot added a further £40!
