Many teenagers in Romania struggle to find somewhere that they can engage in constructive ways. Built into the local culture is the idea that there is nothing for them in their own country. Many teenagers are taught that the only opportunities are in other countries.

I am so excited to be going to Valcea, Romania for 3 months with One Collective UK. I will be volunteering in schools and supporting disadvantaged children giving them the opportunity to experience fun and fellowship through activities such as arts and crafts. During this time, I will be working alongside other volunteers who have dedicated years of their lives to serve and bring about transformation in this area. Namely, working with students to provide them with a sense of hope that God has something for them right where they are, and wants to bless their whole community through them.

In Matthew 25: 31-40, Jesus tells us to feed the hungry, help the sick, reach out to strangers and clothe the needy. I have a passion to help people in need, show the hurt and isolated they are valued and bring positive change to lives. Through engagement with these students and working with long term workers, I will be part of that process of transformation and helping these students identify their purpose. In addition, I am so excited for what God has for my own growth and development whilst there.

Since finishing my A levels I have worked hard to earn enough money for my flights and travel however, I still need help to support myself financially whilst I am living and volunteering in Romania. My budget for the month includes accommodation, food, transport and funds for the projects that I will be helping to run. I need a minimum of £2800 to support myself whilst out there, however additional funds will all go to being spent on projects both whilst I am there and also helping them continue once I have returned.

Please help me to be able to fulfil this mission and support children and young people in need by donating money to pay for my accommodation and food whilst I am there.
