Memory boxes are often used by bereavement professionals as part of ongoing bereavement support. They are recognised as an important tool when talking to children about their grief. Memory boxes promote positive mental health in children by offering a safe environment for them to explore their emotions. We aim to give children the tools to openly talk about their bereavement. We want to help children to understand they are not alone in their grief and eventually to be able to celebrate the life of the person who has died and smile when they think of them.

Each memory box comes with a very special Memory Bear. To provide a bereaved child with a bespoke Memory box and Memory bear costs the charity approximately £200.

Working with many bereavement services across the UK we have supported hundreds of children, and with your help we will continue to offer our vital services to bereaved children.

The wooden memory boxes that the Harvey Hext trust provide are just so very special.

I have recently received the Memory boxes for my children and they are absolutely beautiful, so well crafted and really solid, they are just amazing quality.

The children can personalise them with artwork and photographs of their choice so it is very individual. This box will hold a lifetime of memories and so needs to be strong and significant which this really is. If you have a chance to order one I would highly recommend them as a beautiful keepsake for your memories.

I delivered the memory boxes and the teddies to the family yesterday, safe to say they were absolutely thrilled with them. Thank you so much for your support in providing these two siblings with such a beautiful gift to keep their precious memories safe. I have found it such a useful tool in with my bereavement work in helping children to express their feelings. Many Thanks
