THE ISSUE- 10% of 15 year old girls in Kenya resort to sex for pads- to enable them to have dignity, go to school, have a normal life. 65% of females in Kenya don't have access to suitable sanitary products and end up using rags and mattresses, which causes infections and are unsuitable for work or school. Girls end up dropping out of school, becoming teen mums and watching the cycle repeat.

THE SOLUTION- Help us stop this by giving the gift of dignity - a pack of reusable sanitary pads that lasts for the whole cycle and up to 5 years. One pack costs only £6 and helps change a girl's life.

IT WORKS- A simple, long-lasting and effective solution that works. We have helped more than 13,000 vulnerable girls in Kenya with these kits. The kits are also biodegradable and we estimate that we have so far saved 15.6million disposable pads from going to landfill.

SURVEY RESULTS - In 2023 we surveyed more than 3,000 girls country-wide who had been using the pad kits for more than 3 months. The enormous effort this took was more than worth it as the results were simply mind-blowing. They show the effectiveness of this simple solution to end the vicious cycle of poverty, where girls drop out of school due to lack of hygiene products, sometimes resorting to sex for pads:

• 95% of the girls used the pad kits every time they had their period

• 99% of the girls have not missed school or exams since then

• 100% of the girls have saved money as a result of the kit

• 100% of the girls did not experience any teasing in school after receiving the kits.

• 94% of the girls said that the pads were comfortable

• 77% said that they suffered less cramps when using the reusable pads
