Steve has set himself the challenge of cycling 124 miles on an exercise bike, the equivalent of travelling from the brain injury hub he attends in Wylde Green all the way to Blackpool Tower!
This will be a genuine challenge.
When Steve was a child, he was a pedestrian in a road traffic collision that left him in a coma for many weeks and with a serious brain injury.
Thankfully he has made great progress since then, in recent years with support from Headway Birmingham & Solhull.
In his own words, Steve says “Headway is a wonderful place” and that’s why he wants to do something to raise funds for the charity.
While Steve will be using an exercise bike to complete his miles, other clients he knows at Sutton House will be doing miles as they go off-site for their ParkRide sessions. Headway staff will also be cycling a few miles to help him reach his target goal.
The challenge will motivate Steve and encourage everyone involved to be more active, and feel fitter and healthier.
With your support, it will also raise a few pounds towards our local brain injury services, helping us to help more people like Steve and his family whose lives have been turned upside down by brain injury.
Thank you in advance!
