Story
The Origin and Purpose of Hedge Fest
Hedge Fest was established to raise funds for Lymphoma Action in memory of Gary "Hedge" MacDonald. Gary tragically passed away from lymphoma cancer, a disease he was unaware of until it was too late. His untimely passing inspired the creation of this festival, aiming to bring awareness and funds to aid those affected by lymphoma.
Hedge Fest has always been more than just an event; it is a heartfelt initiative that brings people together to support causes that matter deeply. This year, our mission is to extend our support from those who are unable to attend the festival, while continuing to honor the memories of those we have lost.
Expanding Our Support
In addition to supporting Lymphoma Action, this year's Hedge Fest on the 27th September will also raise funds for The Natalie Kate Moss Trust. This decision was made to honor the sudden and unexpected passing of the festival organisers beloved mother, Kathleen Marshall, who died from a brain haemorrhage just a few months after the inaugural Hedge Fest. Kathleen was always helping others and spent her life volunteering for various community groups. The Natalie Kate Moss Trust is dedicated to funding research and providing support for those affected by brain haemorrhages, making it a fitting addition to our causes.
