After considerable investment into the care of these little prickly creatures we became a registered charity in February 2020 to solidify our ongoing commitment to the rescue and rehabilation of our local hedgehogs.

We are able to provide high quality care for our hedgehogs which includes veterinary pods, heat pads, incubators and other necessary equipment. With the help of your donations we have also been able to extend this vital equipment to our on-call volunteers who give up their time each evening to collect and care for vulnerable hedgehogs overnight.

The number of hedgehogs in need of help is increasing every year from our initial 121 hedgehogs in the beginning (2017), over 500 (2021 & 2022) increasing to 943 (2023) and well over 1000 (2024). In 2026 we have moved into our new purpose built unit which substantially increases our capacity to well over 100 at any one time.

With all the increases in cost for medication, food and in electricity to keep them warm and clean we are increasingly dependant on your donations to continue our work.
