Dear brothers and sisters, Our beloved father returned to our Lord in the blessed month of Ramadan

We are fundraising to help build a deep water well on his behalf. A lack of access to clean water remains one of the biggest obstacles for the less fortunate. A water well provides reliable access to safe, clean water, for drinking, cooking, washing, watering crops, keeping livestock hydrated without the risk of illness. It also means women and children don‘t have to walk for miles to collect (often dirty) water. The average distance that women and children walk in Asia is 3.7 miles carrying around 20 litres of water.

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status." (Muslim Vol. 4, Hadith 6264).

Sadaqah Jariyah is a continuous and ongoing charity. It is one of the most rewarding deeds as its benefits can be reaped now and continue to benefit us after we have returned to our Lord.

May Allah grant our beloved Father the highest ranks in Jannah. Ameen
