1st Helmsley Scout Group – On the Road to Poacher 2026!

We’re proud to be based in the heart of Helmsley, on the edge of the stunning North York Moors — and in 2026, we’re heading off on the adventure of a lifetime: Poacher, an international Scout jamboree bringing together over 5,000 Scouts and Guides from around the world.

It’s a week packed with challenges, adventure, and new friendships — and an experience our young people will never forget.

But we need your support to make it happen!

Poacher is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but the cost can be a barrier. That’s why throughout 2025, we’ll be fundraising to ensure that every Scout in our group can take part.

We’ll be holding a range of fundraising events over the year, and every bit of support makes a real difference.
