Brechin & Forfar Boxing & Fitness Club was established in 2019 with a simple aim — to provide a welcoming, affordable and positive environment where people of all ages can learn boxing, improve their fitness, build confidence and be part of a community.

From the beginning, we have kept our prices as low and accessible as possible, currently charging just £3 per class for children and £5 for adults. We believe finances should never be a barrier to getting involved.

We have secured our own building through a rent-to-buy agreement for £50,000, giving the club stability and, most importantly, the opportunity to build something that can be passed down through generations of boxers.

We currently have £27,000 remaining to pay over the next three years. Our monthly payment is £750, before additional running costs such as electricity, insurance, Boxing Scotland fees and other essential expenses.

At present, our regular income does not cover our monthly outgoings, which is why fundraising is so important.

Despite putting considerable time and effort into funding applications, we have unfortunately been unsuccessful with a number of applications and have received limited support from local funding sources.

This is incredibly difficult for a small community club. Our coaches and volunteers put their heart and soul into every session, and we are incredibly proud of the community we have built.
