Bonnie is struggling to breathe—she needs urgent, life-changing surgery and we need your help to raise £1,000 for the operation.

Bonnie is a sweet, gentle girl, and she is only 4 years old so she should be running, playing, and enjoying life. But as you can see from the video, every breath is a battle.

She has been diagnosed with a severe case of BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) and stenotic nares (narrowed nostrils)—the worst we have seen in a very long time, possibly ever. Her tiny airway is almost completely blocked, and her nostrils close up when she breathes in, making it nearly impossible for her to get enough air. Even the simplest things—walking, eating, resting—leave her gasping for breath. She has also had episodes where her brain has been so starved of oxygen that she has passed out.

If Bonnie doesn’t get urgent surgery, her condition will only get worse. As the weather starts to warm up, she will struggle even more, and the risk to her life will increase. Our vet has said this operation cannot wait, and she is booked in for 4th March.

This surgery will widen her airway and nostrils and allow her to breathe properly for the first time in her life—but we need to raise £1,000 to cover the cost of her operation and recovery.
