Raising funds to replace the shed damaged during Storm Eowyn

We need your help! All monies raised will go towards replacing the shed and improving the outdoor learning experience for the children at Menstrie Primary School. The shed is part of a project to teach the children how to grow their own food.

Menstrie Primary School Parent Council help the school to provide the best environment and learning experience for our children, in order to give them the best possible start to their education.

Story

Friday is non-uniform day and we need your help to raise money to replace our shed that was damaged during Storm Eowyn, which forecasters described as "probably the strongest" storm to hit the UK in at least a decade.

The shed was less than two months old, purchased through funds raised by the Parent Council. Along with the polytunnel, the shed is part of a larger project to teach the children to grow their own food (Farm to Fork).

The plan is to build a food growing space for learners, their parent/carers and the extended community - a space that will be used to collectively learn how to grow fruit and vegetables whilst also composting the school food waste.

The children will grow, harvest, cook (where required) and taste their food. Eventually, the aim is they will grown enough to sell at a Farmers Market after school (& maybe even create their own cookbook!) to support the project to become self funding.

All whist enjoying the benefits of outdoor learning all year round.

Please help if you can & thank you in advance for your donations.
