CONGRATULATIONS!
Our bus is on the road and we are so thrilled! In less than 3 weeks you've raised a little over £30,000 and given Pace and its children their minibus! More than just a mode of transport- this IS an independence-giving, confidence-building, curriculum-enhancing, barrier-smashing SUPERBUS! THANK YOU to everyone who shared, donated and shouted from the rooftops to make this happen, we are truly overwhelmed.
You can still help! All additional donations will fund the children's first adventures in the bus!
Sammy's main love is swimming. Her legs just seem to come alive in the water! Her physical disabilities don't disappear, but they are temporarily lifted and she just loves to go. Sadly, its just become too difficult for me to take her swimming now without a huge amount of support - physically getting her in and out of the pool is just too much. If Pace are able to buy their own minibus and add regular swimming lessons to school life, Sammy would be ecstatic!
11-year-old Sammy joined Pace in 2011 and attends full time. Sammy has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, and, like many of the children in our care, loves swimming. By sending in a gift today and helping us to buy a minibus, you can make sure young people like Sammy , grow in confidence and are able to do the things they love. And the happier children like Sammy are, the happier their parents are too.
Your additional donations could fund a visit to the pantomime next year. Your additional donations could fund a visit to an art gallery to bring their art classes to life. Your additional donations could enable our children to have regular swimming lessons every month, something which not only helps them physically, but also emotionally. Your additional donations will give our children the chance to go Christmas shopping next year and choose presents for their loved ones while actively using their maths and communication skills. There are SO many opportunities this bus now gives our children, and YOU can make these experiences happen, so click here today if youd like to play a part.
