It’s been a while since it’s outbreak but Covid can still be the cause of upsets for dogs in homes as people are now being asked to return back to work following a lengthy period whilst they have been allowed to work mainly from home.
Monty was finding being left at home following his owners having to go back to work too upsetting and it was causing him to become stressed and anxious so his owners approached us for help in finding him a new home.
Thankfully we have managed to get Monty in to a foster home but there are some concerns about a possible tummy infection we have to take care of before we even consider if anything needs to be considered for his partial loss of sight.
Despite these things Monty is now much more settled in a home where someone is with him all the time and he’s getting in to a little routine and enjoying some good sleeping periods, not worrying about when someone will come home. He’s also enjoying the company of a sister.
Monty is going to be a new Foster hound for Hall Green as we want to ensure we are able to support him with any specialist treatment he my require in the short term.
He is going to be going in to the vets for an ultrasound scan on his stomach to see if there are other issues causing his current problems, this is going to be in the region of £500 and the vets have also mentioned we will need to have his teeth looked at with some possible extractions with an estimate of around £1,500.
If anyone would like to help us raise funds to make sure we can support Monty then you can do this by making a donation through this fundraising campaign.
Donations can also be made directly to us through PayPal or you can join our sponsorship programme from asa little as £3 per month.
We have got to help this old boy through these issues so he can enjoy his later years in comfort in a home with the right level of company he was needing.
Any help would be amazing and we can’t thank our current sponsors enough because the money raised went towards the costs we incurred last year for our greyhounds in long term Foster.
Thanks Team Hall Green
