1,000 days....
That is how long Tahla has now been with us

1000 days without a home
1000 days in kennels
1000 days without anyone even wanting to meet her

Tahla is a beautiful 6 year old husky girl
She is looking for a foster or forever home as soon as possible as she has been in kennels

She came in from a couple who rehomed her from a horrible situation
She was underweight, flea ridden, full of worms, had painful impacted glands and was quite a scared

After she was feeling a bit better physically, the psychological damage started to show
Her guarding issues developed and worsened over time and the home just couldn't cope with her.

On the day we picked her up, she bit the staff member collecting her. When dogs bite, the triggers a chemical reaction in the brain, this pushed Tahla over the edge into fight or flight mode

She went to kennels and the work began to turn this baby around x

She is now at Denford Edge Kennels in Thrapston who have been absolutely incredible! Their team have worked with Tahla on a daily basis and she is a totally different dog who can finally cope in a special home

She really is a lovely, friendly girl that just needs someone who will listen to her body language and allow her to be a proper dog. Things will always have to be on her terms and her guarding will always need managing.

She is loved and safe but she sooo deserves a home to call her own

She cannot live with children
We think she could live with other dogs but this is absolutely on a case by case basis as you must be able to manage guarding between dogs and be aware that it will likely take time for her to settle with other dogs so you must have the ability to separate.

Full support will, as always, be given to help you and Tahla learn to live together

For Tahla meet and greets are essential to learn how to handle her before taking her home and it is imperative that you listen to the kennel staff and us about her and what she needs.

Most of all, you need to love her and must be fully committed..
Tahla isn't the easy choice but we are sure she will truly reward you with an amazing girl if you gave her a chance
